2020. original piece features four acrylic paintings on 11x14 canvas. persimmons in chinese culture represent luck and good fortune. the different iterations of the persimmon drying on the string were inspired by the japanese practice of hoshigaki, where persimmons are hung and air dried until they are candied to perfection.
